Set Up a Meet & Greet

Set Up a Meet & Greet

We would love to meet you and your pets prior to finalizing your booking to ensure that everyone feels comfortable.

What to Expect for a Meet & Greet

Dog Daycare or Overnight Boarding:

  • I will meet you and your dog outside and we will go to the backyard. If the weather is yucky, we will likely need to reschedule.
  • My dogs will be let out one at a time after your dog has a chance to smell around the yard on their own. I typically don’t use leashes, but we can if you are concerned about how your dog will react.
  • After a few minutes of meeting both of my dogs, you are welcome to come inside while I introduce your dog to my cat. If your dog shows aggression towards my cat, we will not be able to move forward with the booking. She is an extremely laid-back cat and gets along with all of the dogs as long as their energy is not aggressive. All of the pets being safe is most important.
  • We’ll discuss your pet’s care throughout the meet & greet and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
  • If the meeting goes well, I will make sure that the dates/times are correct for your booking before I accept it. It will then up to you to finalize the booking if you feel we are a good match for your needs. I certainly don’t mind if you need some time to meet other sitters or to finalize your trip itinerary. However, if it is a busy season, your spot will not be safe until you complete the booking.

Drop-In Home Visits:

  • I will meet you and your pet(s) at your home.
  • I will let your pets get used to me at their own pace.
  • I will need instructions about feeding, water, potty routines, safety concerns/precautions, medications, etc.
  • I will need a tour of the areas that apply to your pet’s needs. These may include the location for food, treats, litter box, yard or walking path, leashes, trash cans, pee pads, etc. I will NOT go into any other areas of the home.
  • We can discuss anything else that needs to be done while you are away, such as checking the mail, bringing trash cans to the curb, watering plants, etc.
  • You will need to supply either a key or code for me to enter your home while you are gone. I will NOT enter your home at any other times than what is scheduled through the booking. You will be informed when I arrive and when I leave, along with any pet updates.
  • I realize that home visits require an extra level of trust since it involves both your pet and your home. I am happy to share references for clients that have used this service before for extra peace of mind.
